The 2020 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) resumed on Saturday after an unplanned break of almost 8 months. Soon after the league stage, the tournament had to be stopped abruptly due to COVID-19 breakout across the world and many had feared if the PSL will not see its season getting concluded this year. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to organise the remaining four matches soon after the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Accordingly, the Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings locked horns in the qualifier and both the sides played some excellent cricket. The game also went into the Super Over only for the Babar Azam-led Kings to clinch it and book a spot in the final. However, during the match another hilarious incident took place which left the fans on Twitter amused.

Chasing 142 to win, Karachi Kings were sitting pretty at 90/3 after 13 overs with their skipper Babar batting well. However, the play stopped at the start of the 14th over which led to a confusion among the viewers and even the commentators. When the cameraman shifted his focus, it was revealed that a dog was sitting in the middle of the ground even as the play was in progress and had to be taken out for it to resume.

Karachi Kings hold nerve to qualify for final

As far as the match is concerned, the Kings collapsed in the last four overs of their chase sensationally. After their skipper Babar Azam got out for a well made 65 off 53, they still needed 25 runs to win off 21 balls. But they lost four more wickets in next 17 balls while adding only 18 runs. Eventually, the match ended in a tie as Imad Wasim smashed a four with five runs needed off the last ball.

The Kings made sure then to score enough runs in the Super Over with the bat. Mohammad Amir was the star with the ball for them as he defended 13 runs to take his team to the final.
