The qualifier match of the Pakistan Super League 2020 will be played between Multan Sultans vs Karachi Kings at the National Stadium, Karachi.
This match is scheduled to start at 3:00 PM Local Time (3:30 PM IST). The game will be telecasted on Eurosport. Also, live streaming will be available on Sports Tiger.
Pakistan Super League is all set to resume its playoffs from the 14th of November on Saturday. The table-toppers Multan Sultans are taking on Karachi Kings in the Qualifier. Multan Sultans finished the league stage at the top of the table with six wins in ten games at an NRR of +1.031.
They have been clearly the best team in the league stage with some serious all-round performances. They would like to continue from where they left before the tournament got suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak earlier this year. Although they may not have many big stars like the Kings, the inclusion of Joe Denly and Brendan Taylor increases their chance massively.
On the other side, Karachi Kings finished just below the Sultans at second place after the league stage. But they come into this playoffs without their coach Dean Jones and Pakistan legend Wasim Akram will serve as interim coach for the remainder of the tournament. They have the best team on paper with some experienced local stars and overseas stars combined.
Alex Hales and Babar Azam made the majority of runs at the top in the league stage and expected to blaze all guns in the playoffs as well. However, with the addition of Wayne Parnell to the squad, their bowling attack looks more experienced. Overall, the expectations are really high on the Kings to go through and win their maiden title with a little home advantage on their side at the National Stadium.
MUL vs KAR Weather Report for Qualifier:
The weather looks promising during the course of the game. There is no chance of precipitation with the temperature being around 30 Degree Celsius during the match time.
The pitch at the National Stadium in Karachi has been equally good for bowling and batting lately. The team batting first always finds it difficult to score quickly. The team which bats sensibly during the middle overs will be massively ahead in the game. However, it will be a fresh wicket and expected to be a good one to bat on, especially in the initial phase of the game. The team winning the toss would like to bat first on this wicket as it will be the first T20 game at this venue since March.
