Pakistan Super League 2020 is moving towards its business end and all the teams are giving their best in order to cement their place in the playoffs. Now, in the upcoming match, Lahore Qalandars will lock horns with Peshawar Zalmi at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. It is expected to be an enthralling encounter between the two teams that are coming into this match with back-to-back wins.

On one side, Lahore Qalandars, who have managed to get their way back on the winning track in the latter part of the tournament has given a crunch angle to the fifth edition of the tournament. They suffered three consecutive defeats before tasting their first victory in PSL 2020.

Meanwhile, Peshawar Zalmi is just a step away from qualifying into the playoffs and if they managed a victory against Qalandars then they will become the second team to qualify into the next stage of the T20 tournament. At the moment they are ranked 2nd in the league table with nine points in their eight outings.

They are on their winning streak, who has won back to back games so far and will look to extend their lead to three against Qalandars. Hence, they will fancy themselves to win this game and continue the momentum.

Pitch and Conditions

The track at Gaddafi Stadium will offer a stiff battle between bat and ball. The bowlers will get some assistance in the first half of the game whereas the batsmen can take the charge against them after the first powerplay of the match. Overall, the batsmen will have their say in the match in comparison to the bowlers.

Meanwhile, it is going to be a perfect day for a cricket match with no chances of rain. The temperature will be on a cooler side that will hover between 12 and 24 Degree Celsius throughout the day according to Accuweather.

Lahore Qalandars

Qalandars are expected to come out with their winning combination. And it means Fakhar Zaman and Dane Villas will open the innings for their side. Meanwhile, Ben Dunk, who is in his peach form will look to collect bucketloads of runs on the back of his sublime hitting with the bat. Qalandars will surely bank on Aussie international, who is currently the third leading run-scorer in PSL 2020.

Mohammad Hafeez and Samit Patel will also have an important role to play with the bat. The duo did a decent job in the previous games as they did some valuable contribution with the bat and the same is expected in the next clash. In bowling, they look pretty settled with nothing much to tinker with Shaheen Shah Afridi leading the fast bowling attack for Qalandars followed by Dilbar Hussain Salman Irshad.

It is known that Akmal is the leading run-scorer for his team with 237 runs in seven games with the help of ton. Tom Banton, Haider Ali and Shoaib Malik will be responsible to take care of their middle-order.

A lot will depend on the performance of Malik, who has already scored two fifties and has managed to hit his peach form with the bat. In the meantime, Liam Livingstone will be given the task of a finisher due to his hitting abilities in the shorter format. On the other hand, their fast bowling unit looks pretty settled with the likes of Wahab Riaz, Hasan Ali and Rahat Ali. In the meantime, Yasir Shah will lead the spin bowling force of the team.
