History:

Karachi Kings represents the one of the big cities of world Karachi also the Capital of Province Sindh. The side was bought by Salman Iqbal ARY Media Group for a massive price of $26 million (USD).

The first Edition doesn’t go as that was expected. Losing 6 out of 8 games in group stages despite having great squad.

Changes to Previous Season:

They have retained Mickey Arthur as their manager while former Pakistan legend Mushtaq Ahmed will be his assistant and bowling coach.

Karachi Kings fans will be overjoyed as they now have Chris Gayle in the squad but despite Gayle is a powerful hitter of the cricket ball, it doesn’t always come up with the goods. They got him from Lahore Qalandars giving a big price of Sohail Tanvir a more than handy All-Rounder. They also got the Young Gun Babar Azam in the team from Islamabad United who is in form of his life let’s see how he come up in this tournament. The Kings also have Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene to guide their ship if things not working their way.

They have also retained Ravi Bopara for the side with Ryan Mclaren making a key presence in the side. Bopara was the man of the tournament last season while Pollard a destructive all-rounder in T20 format playing leagues around the world would make extra options in both departments for team.

Pakistan’s Shoaib Malik experienced in the format with the local Karachi’s players like Shahzaib Hassan and Khurram Manzoor the batting looks balanced. Bowling also got a variety in the liking of Mohammad Amir, Sohail Khan, Imad Wasim, Usama Mir’s combination should ensure the success for the team. Looking for Wasim as he developed himself as one of the biggest stars in this format of the game.
